GM SIM - Trade Deadline in Review
Our first Trade Deadline and I was completely inactive. I was sunning myself in the Dominican Republic oh the horror
So what did all you GMs think of this deadline? Was it more interesting than the real life Deadline? Was it more of a Dud?
Rant or Rave or just give a rating on a scale of 1 (Total Dud) to 10 (Fantastic)

Re: GM SIM - Trade Deadline in Review
I kinda wasn't around for the last hour. I might have been able to get a 5th rounder in 2014 for Jonas Hiller if I stuck around. That would have been sweet. Maybe next season...

I think you're setting your expectations too high.

By next season that'll be a 2015 pick. I'm being quite reasonable.

I meant in terms of hoping for a blockbuster.

I definitely wasn't. I was only asking for picks and AHLers, pretty much. I see a few deals were made. It was a successful deadline, IMO.

Re: GM SIM - Trade Deadline in Review
I found it to be fun. Granted I was fairly busy at the deadline, with the Luongo deal and with the Ballard deal.
I am so use to checking on here at least a couple of times a day, it seemed kind of empty yesterday

Re: GM SIM - Trade Deadline in Review
It was entertaining, wasn't the busiest day for trades we've seen but given we bumped it a bit further back its understandable.
I think GM's were much busier than the trades reflected....I know was.

It was extremely dead in here yesterday actually. Page loads for Monday were less than half of what they normally are on a Monday. Very bizarre actually. Perhaps because of the March Break??

ok so i finally found wifi in montreal, how was the trade deadline ? just wanted to point one thing out is at the montreal canadiens game i went to that crowd was crazy even if your not a fan you feel like cheering of course only to an extent, man if ottawa had that crowd it would be awsome,
P.S
if someone could send me my roster for my sim team that would be great.

Re: GM SIM - Trade Deadline in Review
I was really surprised at the lack of activity on the actual deadline day. Leading up to it there were some huge ones, but I only can recall processing the Luongo deal on deadline day that was of significance.
Still, from the beginning to now, this sim has been a huge amount of fun.
Congrats to everyone on doing it right and having fun. Now...to the post-season!!!

Hey I thought the NYR and Detroit deal was a good buzzer beater. I got a young top 2 shot blocking stud machine in Schultz, a solid experienced back up, and experience winger for dead weight. Yeah it may have cost me a couple of picks but hey I got a bunch of those spread over the next few years.
