This is the key...
Even if Heatley wins this round, what happens when he is looking for a contract in a few years time?
He has sent out enough warning signals that there will be a substantially less vigourous battle for his services, and I can't imagine he'll be able to win back the support of the many players who he has managed to annoy as well.
I hope that he'll be getting better advice from his (new) agents by that point - for his sake at least.
