Joe Pavelski appreciation thread

Joe Pavelski appreciation thread
This guy has stepped up big time. The guy leads the league with 9 goals in the playoffs and is a mere 2 points behind Sidney Crosby in the same number of games. For a guy that averages around 50 points a season that is playing huge when it counts the most. Sure he looked like he was headed for a nice break out year finishing with 51 points in 67 games but who would have thought he'd catch fire like this?

The best part of this playoff for Lil' Joe, is that he is an RFA this summer. Every point costs SJ a little bit more.

I doubt SJ keeps both Joe Pavelski and Marleau, or they keep both and trade Thornton.
What's their cap situation look like next year? Lotso f RFA's/UFA's?

I've got nothing against SJ it's just having Dany Heatley there makes me wish them no success at all.

Yeah, theyre going to have problems keeping the core intact. Both Marleau and Nabokov are free agents. I guess Blake will retire and save them a couple of mil, but theyll still be cutting it close. They should trade number 15.

Re: Joe Pavelski appreciation thread
If they lose Blake, or he re-signs for $1-2Mil that wouldn't be too bad.
They really don't have a solid replacement for Nabokov. How's Saterri's development coming along?
Ponder this - Elliott for Setoguchi or Pavelski?

I think we should trade Spezza, Alfie and Karlsson for Pavelski. He is the flavour of the week, after all.
