Carcillo to PHI for Upshall, 2nd

Phoenix trade Dan Carcillo to Philadelphia for Scottie Upshall and a 2nd.

Is it just me or did Philly get blindsided? Scared

Completely oposite reaction for me.

Never been impressed by Upshall. Carcillo is awesome.

What a strange deal for Phoenix.

Carcillo is great. He'll be a prefect fit in Philly. He will drop the gloves and beat teams on the scoreboard. Perhaps a bit steep of a price, but Carcillo is tailor made for the Flyers imo.

What's stranger is the Jokinen deal. Prust is a dime a dozen player, Lombardi (besides his speed) isn't anything special (and had hands of granite), and the 1st won't be any higher than 22nd. I find it hard to believe that was the best package out there.

Yeah, but he's shown the ability over many seasons. I dunno, it just seems like not very much to pay.

Carcillo definitely fits into Philly's style of player, much more than Briere (what a baby he his)
