Not that it's my league, but I am used to and prefer Points Only, seein gas how it is pretty understandable and you're rewarded for how well your individual players do and not your team as a whole.

Hey guys, season's starting soon, just reminding everyone that there are still spots available in the league, not quite sure how many. And, also reminding those who have made a team to remember to configure their auto-picks if they are unable to attend the live draft.
    Cheers,

(copying my post from the other draft thread)
OK, someone might have to explain the auto-picking to me. I got Lidstrom, Niedermayer, Kaberle (the good one), Rafalski, Green and Markov on defense. Talk about loaded! But then I got semi-shafted at forward. I shouldn't complain, but it definitely looks like it picked nothing but D-men for me through the first couple of rounds. Henrik Sedin is my top center, and I had him ranked 15th among centers, which means I probably got him in the third round. Well, that explains Lidstrom *and* Niedermayer. Again, I shouldn't complain, my only goof, really, was leaving Steve Sullivan off the do-not-pick list.

PKC, since you started this, I'm going to ask you to explain a few things to me.

This is the link to look at the full leagueL
    http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/3681

From there you can click on your team to see your roster and so on. Now on to the questions:

    1. What do I do now? Cry or pray?
    2. When I look at the league, what is the "Waiver" column? What does it mean and why am I leading with 10?
    3. I pre-ranked my players for points only. What do I do now, since this is a rotisserie style league? Any primers out there?

The Waiver column is the Waiver Priority list. The numbers range from lowest to highest (1 - # of teams in league). The lower the number, the first refusal you have of players on waivers. So if you put a claim in on a waived player with #10 and someone with waiver priority #7 wants him, he'll get him before you do. Once you claim someone from waivers, you go to the bottom of the priority list and everyone moves up one.

    1. Both. I'd like to say on behalf of everyone that did the Live Draft that we were shocked when Niklas Lidstrom went with the first overall pick.
    2. This was explained very well by the post right above mine.
    3. I don't think I understand this question.

Oh, man, I was first? The shame.

My point was that I only looked at projected point totals. I wasn't looking at maximizing, for instance, PIMs. This is my first time with rotisserie scoring and I had zero strategy going in. So now it's all down to (brass) tactics.

To be honest, you're pretty screwed. I'd say trade away some of your abundance on D to fill in some holes elsewhere, but you have no edge in negotiating. Offensive defensemen are hardly as big a commodity as say a star winger or center. Just propose some trades and hope for the best.
