Have you heard his cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt"? Awesome and haunting.

Nah, I just can't listen to the "new" Kermit. No-one did green like Jim. The new guy sounds like a little kid trying to imitate Kermit.

    It's a parody of kemit.

Really? I thought it was whoever does Kermit now -- I thought it was Jim's son.

I still remember when Rainbow Connection was on first out, the morning radio station in Montreal had "The Birdman". His son loved that song, so he locked himself in the studio and played it something like 10 times in a row. I kept hitting the snooze button and waking up to the same damn song each time. I had no idea what was going on (this was before "Groundhog Day").

What a tough question. Such a huge catalogue. We're talking about an artist who recorded classics that are out of print for crying out loud!

His Sun Records output was so good it tends to eclipse some later gems such as "All I Do is Drive".

I don't think Johnny get's regularly credited for this song, but The Legend Of John Henry's Hammer was one of my faves when my parents listened to the Man in Black.

Like a lot of these legendary artists, I think his gospel output will yield some of his best stuff as it does with Elvis.

I would have to agree with you on that one, by no means am I a church goer or anything, but Johnny Cash and Elvis brought the gospel music to a whole new level for everyone.

That's borderline thread crapping. I guess you're chasing that "Mr. Montagoose" like I am Wink
