Video completely stopped with about 25 seconds to go in the penalty. Came back when there was 7 seconds left. Where's that CBC web feed?

Nice hit on Malkin by Datsyuk. Looks like he's back playing center. Babcock started him on wing, didn't he?

Not a good goal for Fleury. Sure, it was tipped, but there was time and room to recover. Not exactly "blistering".

Yeah... he should have had that one. But it was quick and I don't think he was expecting a shot from there.

Wings up 1-0 after 1. Shots are 10-8 for the Pens. Wings will start the 2nd on a PP.

The Pingu Posse comes marching out, and the first ten minutes are a nonstopholdyourbreathdemonstrationoffirewagonhockey(!)...but give the Red Wings even a modicum of time and space and the exceptional skills of a Pavel Datsyuk can create an opportunity that Cleary converts...and the Big Mo swings back in favour of the Wings...

Kunitz kills his mates' semblance of a late period surge with a goalie interference penalty.

Though outshot 11-8, the Motor City Mob exits the first frame with the lead.

...the crowd roars its approval...and a few sighs of relief.

Quite the hockey game so far!
