and when you snap a stick in half it hard to hide that kind of evidence

Gonchar and Crosby were out there the full two minutes.

Loved the Detroit fans complaining about that one. Yeah, sure.

That was an awful long way to go for a hit -- could have been charging. Certainly was the intent.

Makes you wonder, though, how they snap so easily, sometimes. Do players score some sticks when they know they'll be going against someone with a flair for slashing the stick?

Four shots on goal with under 4 minutes to go in the 1st. Is Detroit waiting for something?

Wow, what a chance! But why did Hossa *not* head right for the crease after passing off the puck? Does he *not* want to be THE guy?

Not the greatest of periods. Maybe a feeling out and getting the jitters out. Last couple of minutes were good... Hopefully it will pick up.

Wow, what a last minute! Usually it's Detroit with the changes, though.

detroit had onyl 6 shots but they were mostly good chances but they are going to have to up their tempo i think it might have been a little bit of nerves

Nerves? Not possible. I think Pittsburgh just plain out worked them. But it's 0-0 and I wonder how long Pittsburgh can continue at that pace. This is where Wang should remind them of a few things that got them here.

Why was Hossa trying to go in 1 on 4, at the *end* of his shift?

Time to put the yung'uns to bed. See you (hopefully) some time in the 2nd.

Game Seven is Hockey Heaven.

An opening stanza that is not quite an extravaganza, but a Sumo tilt between Team Tuxedo and the Fine Feathered Flock...and did they ever rock!

More shots by the Pingus, but the Wings N Things laid the body on--nothin' wrong.

The ice might be choppy, and the reffing might be sloppy, but hey, we're happy.

Some pretty good chances from both squads, while Marky has Flower Power and Ozzy Be Good, like he should.

Zero-zero, and still lookin' for a hero...
