Atlanta signs Evander Kane to ELC

Will post contract details when they're available. I'd expect the numbers to look similar to Tavares, Hedman, Duchene (i.e., $3 mil / yr or so, with bonuses).

Looking at hockey highlights on YouTube, because, well, I miss hockey. Came across this fight between Matt Cooke and Evander Kane. I haven't seen much of Kane play, pretty much only at the world juniors, and was impressed with his willingness to go into the corners and fight for his ice. But i didn't expect this at all.

Of course, I have. I'm an expert, after all Smile

But Jordan Leopold is just a player. Matt Cooke is a deserving player. Just like Kovalev taking out a license to go Tucker Hunting. That is one of my all-time favorites. Another would be the photo of Tucker getting up-close and personal with the ice after his attempted/aborted hit on Phillips. They have a nice, big copy of it at the SensPlex but I haven't been able to find it online.

Oh, man, I just went a little off-track in youtube and found this little gem. Patrick Roy comes out -- way out -- to play a puck, dekes Gretzky near his blue line, then does a little Savardian spin-o-rama at the red line -- that's right, the *RED* line -- before passing it off.

This is the kind of stuff I miss because I hardly ever watch west-coast games.

OMG, that was funny. Crawford could barely keep a straight face.

I've never seen that before.....that's awesome.

I hate Matt Cooke with a passion and it's awesome to see him put in his place (although you never wanna see the stretcher come out)
