    EA's NHL 09

Post by Riprock on Wed Sep 10, 2008 6:32 pm

    For those who play...

I'm a PS3 owner, SteveRiprock would be my PSN handle.

Going through the Euro leagues I found some players worth mentioning for Sens fans and other NHL fans.
Vitaly Anikeyenko (Ottawa) is on Yaroslavl.
Peter Regin (Ottawa) is on Timra IK

    Alexei Cherepanov (NYR) Avangard OMSK

If you find others post them please.

I have to wait until the 29th for it to come out on PS2. Sad

Why is it taking that long for the PS2?

the be a pro mode is quite possibly the most addictive feature I've ever played, don't get started on it and plan anything for the rest of the day!

Amazing game, nice new physics they have going, the hits are better, its alot harder to deke though... and the "lift the stick" feature is works way too much imo, but insanely addicting game in the end.

Yeah, figures. Guess all the money is in next (or current) GEN systems (360/PS3)... the prices have dropped significantly too. Futureshop has the 360 Elite (120GB/black/updated CPU/HDMI) for $399 and you can get a basic arcade model for $200.

FYI, Victor Hedman is in NHL 09 found on MODO. Check out http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=550150 for a complete list.

I finally got to play this game last night at a friend's house. HOLY Dung! WOW! That is the most realistic game I've ever seen. Blocked shots and deflections, goalies sprawling from side to side, defensemen not turning their back at the blueline in the offensive zone, passes actually having to be good to connect, lifting the stick on the forecheck, and the list goes on.
Also, I must say, Zetterberg is absolutely Diddle unreal in that game. The Dung he can do is just ridiculous.

By far the best NHL game to come out in a while! Fighting could be better, but the rest of the game is simply awesome! I'd like to try the online stuff too, but really can't find anyone to join...

I'm Inglewood Jacks on xbox live, We should start ourselves a team if we have enough people...
