OK, I've *got* to ask ...

Post by wprager on Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:57 am

... did anyone catch the Battle of the Blades on Sunday? I was waiting around, and nothing else was on (you think they made a deal with the NHL to *not* have any games scheduled?) and I have to admit, I watched *some* of it. And I've got to tell ya, for a guy who suited up in the '70s, Ron Dugay looks to be in as good a shape as some who retired just recently.

They never have a lot of games on Sunday. Usually Anahiem or Vancouver will play a later night game on Sunday and Minny sometimes has an afternoon one, but for the most part Sunday's are pretty slow, especially when The NFL is playing.

Oh. Yikes. I thought maybe it was that thing I saw Ads for a while ago where people race, on skates, down what looks similiar to a motor cross arena covered in snow and the track covered in a layer of ice. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or did I dream that?

How did his hair look? a friend of mind played for him a few years backs, says he's got the best hair ever.

Thanks. That's something I'd consider watching not this other thing but I also don't like dancing with the stars and battle of the blades looks to be similiar to that.

My wife tricked me into watching it

Was pretty amusing to watch these ex-players try figure skating.

It should be funny when Don Cherry is there next week, he's not exactly a fan of figure skating.

I give this horse-Dung 3 weeks before someone mercifully pulls the plug....then again this is the CBC, so perhaps not.

The way I see it, since I have to pay for this dog-Dung through my taxes, I'm going to insult it at every opportunity. The CBC needs to take a lesson from the BBC and actually show worthwhile stuff, like documentaries, and not this swill.

From what I heard, it had good ratings, beating out the Leafs and Sens season openers. We'll be seeing more not less Sad

Only if you tune in Wink Or have a wife that is cruel enough to force you to.

I just can't understand the public's fascination with reality TV. Granted I still watch Survivor, but it seems 2/3 of every show on TV these days is some crappy reality TV.

Well according to that link Clutch posted, you won't have to watch any more of Probert -- he's out.

I've got to admit, though, that Barb Underhill, in hockey skates, no less, was kinda hot.

I think Fox in the US ran a similar show that flopped pretty bad... In England, I think their Ice Dancing show is still going strong...
