Saw it in the theater and I remember people in the audience yelling and screaming out loud. It was pretty good.

I pooped watching that movie. Actually, now that you mention it, it might be (high) time to watch it again!

You like saying that a lot don't you?

I can only dream that that movie is going to be even half decent...I like what I've seen so far of it. I'm fairly excited...as well as for The Fourth Kind. Check that trailer out too...

Does anyone mind if I correct Spielberg's name in the first post? Good.

    Hey Guys,
Watched the movie last night, you can find it online at your popular streaming spots.
It starts off slow, but I guess that's required to build the suspense level and introduce the characters. There's a few sounds here and there, but after they get the Ouija board... Good lord, it's lights out.

I think what makes the movie so frightening is the reality of the situation. It's not your typical horror movie that is pure gore and sudden bangs that make you jump. The fact that it draws you in to believe it's an actual home video (they do a really good job of it) makes it genuinely frightening.

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night... Definitely recommend seeing it. I usually go and see movies in the theatre, but was really unsure whether or not it would come, so resorted to streaming it.

What's really fascinating to me, is the fact that it was made for just over $11,000, and it's already grossed something like 62 million. It beat out a ton of other movies in the first week, including Saw 6 (who knew about that one, better yet- who cares?), and as I look into it now- is now playing in Ottawa.

Definitely check it out if you're looking to get some realistic frights.

Nice. I don't like horror films, but I think we'll go see it. I'm intrigued.

I saw it last weekend. I actually wasn't really scared in the theatre. It wasn't until I got home and went to bed that I realized how disturbing it was.

    Very well done.

saw it, own it, loved it, sure it's a pirated copy I have, but man, what a well made movie, my wife slept with the lamp on for two nights after she was that freaked out by it.

Night#20 is pretty insane. I'm not sure how they go back to sleep after that happens. Without ruining too much, some of the scenes where she just stands there as time elapses quickly is just Diddling creepy.

no kidding, now I have heard there are 3 endings to this movie, depending on which year it was released. I have tried to find them, but still end up with the theatrical version of her in a trance sitting by the bed for hours until the cops arrive. The other two are more shocking I have heard, one for sure in particular, so am hoping to find it.

Yeah, they have all 3 endings listed on wikipedia. Not sure which one I like the most, they're all creepy.

I found her standing over the bed the most disturbing part.

I saw it last night at a late night viewing. It borrows from the realism of Blair Witch but it is soooo much better. Extremely well done. The pacing is perfect, the acting is good and the creepy images have haunted me all night. Unlike most horrors these days it doesn't go over the top silly and doesn't rely on gore or boo!-like scenes to frighten you. A truly creepy film that makes you forget it's a film. I felt like I was watching a documentary and got to really know this couple.

I didn't realize there were alternate endings. I will check it out. The one I saw last night was a great climax to perfectly paced film.

Just saw it, I think it's okay... not exactly the kind of stuff that's gonna stop me from sleeping though lool. (actually, I don't think a movie can have that effect on me.
Or May be that's because I've already waken up at night when I was a teenager and saw a giant face of a witch in front of me and I couldn't move a toe or a finger for an hour... Exactly what the girl in the movie is talking about at the beginning of the movie. And I can tell you guys it was not a nightmare...
But those kind of things do exist, but I wouldn't go as far as saying you will be dragged out of bed though...

Saw it last night with my girlfriend, and we both loved it. Starts off really slow, but like was said, from the Ouija board onward, its balls to the wall.

The ending made us both jump, and everyone left the theatre talking about how scary it was. Definitely worth checking out.

I haven't heard anything about this movie... I probably missed it somewhere in the thread, but what's the name of this movie?

Seriously, how can a film like that freak someone who spent months directing a movie about the Holocaust?
