Jersey name suggestions

I am buying a new Sens jersey for my nephew for Christmas. He is a big Sens fan but I can't ask him which player he wants on his jersey as it will give away the surprise. I am thinking Alfie or Michalek. Thoughts? He is 10.

Michalek. Comes with a built in message towards hard work and toughness, and he'll be around through the preteens

I am leaning towards Michalek. He is a UFA in the 2014-2015 season and unless his game starts the slump (which I doubt) I can see him being a Senator for many years to come.

Alphisher. The 3 cornerstones that will retire as a Sen.

I'd go with #11 and he is the only one a lock to retire a Sen, and for a 10 year old he is definitely flashier than #4 (who may very well retire a Sen as well).

As much as I like Fisher I still see him eventually moving to the US because Underwood sure isn't moving to Ottawa.

Mike FIsher is a Sen for life, I'd bet my degree on it.

Donovan because the kid is 10 and Dono's Jersey number is 10? That is face palm worthy. Unless you meant that he should put Donovan on there because he's a solid team player. If that's the case then the kid will want to at least see the guy play if he has his name on his Jersey. It's hard to brag, as a 10 year old when you're wearing the Jersey of a regular Healthy Scratch/ 4th liner.

You gotta give him Alfie and barring that give him Michalek.

I went with Alfie. It will be a classic jersey and he should out grow it by the time Alfie retires.
