they can afford him on re-entry waivers which leaves both campoli and picard tradeable

I'll believe it when I see it.

So is that a guess based on the lack of money or a statement from the team?

I don't think any of us assumed he would be taken until re-entry anyway. Thanks for nothing, Ottawa Sun.

What has Picard done in the way of creating offense from the back end anyway? Phillips has honestly been more involved offensively.
Phillips has been more offensive this year, as well as playing excellent defensively.

Picard is fine. Kuba is getting worse, I thought moving back to his natural left side would help, but he is not playing like a 3.7M dman right now.

Don't you think playing with Karlsson has an effect on his decisions?

Yup. I was sitting here wondering the same thing.

Honestly no. I think he is slow and soft. Karlsson has outplayed him lately and Karlsson has actually had to cover off for some TERRIBLE pinches.

If by that you mean he's gambling more because he thinks that the 19 year old rookie defenseman is actually better than him lately, then yes, it's possibly affecting his decisions.

Nop, he is unsure on the ice because he doesn't know if Karlsson is gonna lose the puck or not, so he he's thinking if he has to go back or not.

Ward has cleared. When can he be called up?

He has to go through like 10 teams before Ottawa. He won't make it that far at half price.

No, that's just because he played the other side. His clusterfucks with Philips didn`t look like this at all IMO.

Nevermind.

In other Canes waiver news, defenseman Aaron Ward cleared waivers and remains with the team. He practiced with the team on Tuesday and is expected to play against Dallas at the RBC Center Wednesday night.
