I can't stay quiet any longer. That is a hideous picture of Alfie. Can you find a better one? Seriously he looks terrible there.

Alife looks awful, and Karlsson looks like a he has trisomy. That's the beauty of it 2009-2010 GMH NHL awards - Page 2 270956

Yeah, I think that's an awesome story. The guy gets stripped of his C, doesn't say a word, goes out and scores 35 goals by the 50 game mark (to outscore linemate Dany Heatley and the entire rest of the league). I've always really like Marleau and I think he'll win this award if he continues on even a close pace for the rest of the year.

Then it'll be down to Miller or Anderson to battle it out for the Vezina.

I liked Marleau until he reportedly refused a deal to come to Ottawa. No Hart for him.

2009-2010 GMH NHL awards - Page 2 821277 He didn't want to uproot his entire family though. But yeah, that burnt my arse a little as well. Still...hard to deny him a Hart for his work this year.

Well, would you guys have a hate on Alfie if he refused to go in SJ?

Strongly disagree about Marleau...I'd even say he's not even the fourth best player on his team, let alone undeniably the most important part of their team and worthy of an MVP.

Not sure...
Leads the league in goals, 1st Unit PK of the best PK team in the league (3 SH goals just for him). I'm not really a stat guy, but it's hard to not recognize his performance.

It would be truly hard to find an argument against Marleau. He's got a nomination in the bag - and possibly a win. He's their second best player behind Boyle and ahead of Thornton and Heatdick and he plays PK, 5 on 5, PP - in every situation.

I'm happy for him, he had that one bad year and everyone crapped on him, but he's always been the pulse of the Sharks.

I forgot about the Selke!! Quick, everyone, nominate three players for the Selke (best defensive forward) and I will tally up the votes and top three will advance.

I pick:

Mike Fisher (OTT)
Ryan O'Reilly (COL) Rookie playing significant PK time, 2 of his 7 goals came SH
Alex Burrows (VAN) 4 SHG, + 28

Why aren't more people voting on the three Selke nominees? I want to see what people think. I had a hard time coming up with what I wanted...

Dung! I forgot Fisher. 2009-2010 GMH NHL awards - Page 2 235689
