    April's Fool jokes/pranks?

Post by wprager on Fri Apr 02, 2010 7:36 pm

Sorry, a little late with this, but what kinds of April's Fool jokes/pranks did you pull or experience yesterday? Any work-related ones? Any from past years that you want to share?

After last year's "Yashin"story breaker I stayed away from TGOR. They got me, but good, last year.

Over at work, there were some feeble attempts (like posting a "Leafs advance to playoffs" headline outside of a poor Leafs fan cubicle), and a somewhat decent one: re-hanging the break room fridge doors to open on the right, but leaving the handle on the left.

So, come on, share yours. It's safer than trying to google for them now.

If you work at a restaurant this one's always fun:

Change all the faceplates for all the fountain pop.

I do it for fun sometimes, the results are always hysterical when people can't figure out why the Pepsi is dispensing Iced Tea because they had no idea that the faceplates could be changed.

Ice Edge Holdings (bidders for Phoenix) apparently pranked the media with a fake story about bidding for Man-U.

The "Grope and Fail" fell for it:

DownGoesBrown does April's Fool in style:

Here's a couple snippets to whet your appetite:

So just like in 2008 and 2009, let's see if we can come up with some practical jokes and wacky pranks that various NHL personalities could play on each other today.

Uh, we're over here, Marc.Marc Savard - Playfully tease Matt Cooke when he asks if you've forgiven him by blinking twice for "no" instead of once for "yes".

    and

Mario Lemieux - Over breakfast, jokingly suggest to Sidney Crosby that maybe it's time for him to move out and get his own place like an actual man would do.

Sounded a little like a banjo string poopping.
