official, another D-man that we were eyeing got signed. 13 mill for 4 years
as per TSN
The Boston Bruins signed defenceman Dennis Seidenberg to a four-year, $13 million contract extension on Saturday.

Seidenberg was acquired from the Florida Panthers at the trade deadline for Craig Weller, Byron Bitz and a 2010 second round pick. He scored two goals and added seven assists in 17 games for the Bruins.

He missed the final four games of the regular season and the entire playoffs after sustaining a lacerated tendon in his forearm on April 3. He had surgery to repair the tendon on April 6 and the recovery time was eight weeks.

On this season, Seidenberg set career highs in games played (79), assists (28) and points (32) and led the NHL in blocked shots with 215.

The 28-year-old Seidenberg is a veteran of 374 regular season NHL games and has compiled 18 goals, 98 assists and 116 points in his seven NHL seasons.

Seidenberg has also suited up for the Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Carolina Hurricanes and Panthers. He has appeared in 19 postseason games during his career with Philadelphia and Carolina and registered six points.

Seidenberg played for Team Germany at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver and has been a teammate of Marco Sturm on the German squad in four international tournaments (2001 Worlds, 2002 Olympics, 2008 Worlds, 2010 Olympics).

He was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
