Don;t know yet. If it's over a million, then so be it. If it's a million or under, bad decision by Ottawa,

Maybe it's for the AHL?

Lundin definitely not for AHL. He plays 20+ mintues a night and faces tough competition every night. Defensive d-man. Just a 1-year deal at around $1 million.

Really strange signing. We have Boroweicki who needs a chance, we have Wiercioch who apparently looks good. He's a left hander....what's the deal here? No Boroweicki in the NHL this season?

They needed to fill two left-side spots. Doesn't affect Borowiecki really, and Wiercioch needs more AHL time surely.

Me neither, but he's played over 200 games and was part of Tampa's playoff run 2 years ago.
Just a depth signing.

Maybe they're preparing for a trade?

FWIW, he's played one complete season. He seems to get injured a lot.
He doesn't hit a lot, but he blocks shots, according to tsn stats.

2 left side spots? Cowen and Phillips would be the 2, Boroweicki would be the 3rd, no?

Boro could be #7 d-man.
