That's the worst signing in history. The Redden thing was idiocy, this is dumber.

You knew the Rangers would sign him because of Risbrough, but that is the howler of the day (so far).

Blah, big mistake. He's not even a 4th liner, he's a legit 6th liner IMO.

May I ask what the heck the Pens were doing signing both Michalek and Martin? Now they have ~58 million committed to a full roster where their two best wingers are Kunitz and Dupuis?

That's not a strong forward core. It wasn't last year but Crosby, Malkin and Staal compensated, what'll happen this year?

Wow, the deal for Jokinen sounds like it's 3+ million per year. I'd Cussing cry if I were a Flames fan.

Minus Gonchar on the PP. Sounds wierd to say but Pitts might have trouble scoring some goals.

I don't see where the (bulk) of the goals are coming from without Crosby, Malkin, Staal in the mix. They might struggle big time.

I think they trade Malkin for some offensive depth and to spread out the cap hits.

Tinker with the core? It might be time, but it certainly has a dangerous potential to not work out.
