I think they trade Malkin for some offensive depth and to spread out the cap hits.

Tinker with the core? It might be time, but it certainly has a dangerous potential to not work out.

Tallinder to NJ Devils who FINALLY do something. I thought A-Train would be going there.

This is a really nice signing. He had 40 points or something last year.

Now there's someone who isn't very good defensively, but I like the value, yeah.

Nice trade bait next year too.

I'd take Sutton back at 2 million. No? Dammit. Sad

I think the Islanders are about to unleash some Dung. They haven't done anything and Kovalchuk and Volchenkov would look excellent over there.

Weird. Does he have a reason for saying that? He had 40 points after all, not very good defensively, but 40 points is like a 2nd/3rd line winger - and could you get one of those for just 1.8 million?

i would have thought kovulchuk would have been taken by now, atlanta should try to take him back, now that they have moved armstrong, now that is a team that is not going any were,

Yeah, I'm still surprised he turned down all that money in Atlanta.

Still think it's the obvious (Kings) or the shocker (Islanders).

kovulchuk played a lot better in atlanta, he was running that team, he will probably go to the kings with kopitar, fun fun fun

I thought the Kings would have signed Kovalchuk by now.

Whitney signing for only 3 million really surprises me. If I'm Pittsburgh, I sign Michalek and really try to get that 3 million price on Whitney instead of Martin. Although I like Martin a lot.
