Sounds to me like its a tad-bit cliquey on the site. Like if you're not part of some clique, your opinion doesn't matter. And god forbid you try to defend it, and then strike back at someone, they'll just get up and leave.

You know I lose interest alot of times as well in various web forums, including this one. I don't go and delete my account though, to make some sort of statement like 'I'm done with you!!!'. Just go away and come back if you want, but enough with these 'announcements'. Sounds like those NBA players' mannerisms.
Agreed. Just go away and then come back later. No need for all this "LeBron" drama.

You started it. Altrhough you kept your account (and post count) intact.
Easy there guy... I had my reasons... and I didn't air my dirty laundry for all to see.

Just making a joke. I'm pretty sure the first time Neely4Life left was before that, so I *knew* it wan't true when I typed it.

Gohan and NEely were 2 of my favourites in here. I'm probably the next to go.
And no, I don't feel Too good for the web, I'm just losing interest.

Likewise---which is one of the reasons I came back. I wanted to give some "big ups" to you, Robby, and Devo for being some of the most knowledgeable and reasonable posters on the web. Also, I wanted to thank the mods (SD, Jam, Wprag, theAv, the Captee-onnnne) for keeping the site flowing, and Shabbs and SSF for keeping it light.
You guys (plus the 3 I mentioned originally) are GMhockey (Hem and Tuk too )

Yeah I thought about that...and it really had little to do with the interaction today...I'm just tired of being the voice of reason (not to say there aren't many on this site...I just have no interest in being one of them anymore...)

Actually, I just spent so much time praising him and, I suppose, reassuring him, because dipsh*ts like yourself couldn't get passed his sometimes abrasive style and see how logical his opinions were. I will say unequivocally that I value and appreciate his opinion far more than yours. I'll chalk it up to youth, assuming your stated age is accurate.

Do we actually know why N4L left? It certainly appeared to be a bit of an over-reaction. N4L was never attacked or ambushed without having struck first. We can call it "abrasive style" all we want, but the reality is if this was a workplace he would have been let go long ago. I'm sure he does not act this way at work -- no matter how wrong his co-workers (or boss) may be in a particular situation. Why should it be any different on a message board?

Ah, I've (until now) stayed out of that thread. Is that where lies the secret of the recent disappearances?

Oh, my. So that's what it was all about. Oh, well, we still don't have Neely's reason. I guess we'll never find out Facepalm

Just like we'll never really find out if Spezza was injured, or what he *really* said, or why Chara left, etc.
