The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Left or Right? Woman_spin

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
    uses logic
    detail oriented
    facts rule
    words and language
    present and past
    math and science
    can comprehend
    knowing
    acknowledges
    order/pattern perception
    knows object name
    reality based
    forms strategies
    practical
    safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
    uses feeling
    "big picture" oriented
    imagination rules
    symbols and images
    present and future
    philosophy & religion
    can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
    believes
    appreciates
    spatial perception
    knows object function
    fantasy based
    presents possibilities
    impetuous
    risk taking

No, it doesn't. There are 34 frames in the GIF file, and I sat there watching it rotate 19 times in the same direction, then I placed my laptop sideways and for a while it appeared to be going in the other direction. There's no way 34 frames would be enough to have the image rotate 19 times one way and then switch.

Would that mean then it shouldn't appear to be going in the same direction to two different people watching at the same time on the same screen?

It's normal. If you can control the "spin" then that would probably be less common.

However Wikipedia says that it's incorrect to assume that right-brain versus left-brain has to do with the apparent direction of rotation:

I see it going clockwise but that is probably because I'm a south paw.

I'm not, and I see it going clockwise (mostly).

By the way, I'm impressed. Seven posts before anyone mentioned nipples. The maturity level on this site is going up.
