Anyone have any interest in making a GMH online team? If we get enough people to create some depth on the spots, we could field a pretty competitive team.

I'd like to do an EASHL team. My BAP is a RW PWF.

Dash wrote:SD, did you use Petersson, Silfverberg, Lehner, Cowick, Rundblad, Cowen, Culek and Sandin in pre-season action yet?
Sorry, missed the question first time around.
I played pre-season with Cowen and Runblad. Wasn't impressed with Runblad really, but I loved Cowen's game even though he's only a 71.
Petersson and Rundblad are in Bingo for me (they're usually scratched I notice), while the rest were all returned to their junior clubs. Which sucks because I wanted to call Cowen up to the NHL when I traded Kuba, but couldn't so I ended up keeping Brian Lee in the AHL where he's anchoring my D - and I acquired....wait for it...Wade Belak to be my bottom pairing hitter with Carkner (Sutton got injured).
This game is too much, it's disgusting amounts of fun....
Wow.
PS Can I find out how Lehner, Cowen etc. are doing in the CHL, or is that feature not available?

Re: EA NHL 2011 Discussion thread
I acquired Stamkos yesterday. I moved Ryan Miller and a 1st and some small piece for him. I find using Pro to warm up (for one season), I don't need a stellar goalie.
Hopefully I can up the setting to All-Star or whatever after this season?

So I got the Hartford Whalers Away jersey (white) and Dany Heatley in HUT. Both should be valuable, but I am keeping the jersey.

Re: EA NHL 2011 Discussion thread
I'm pretty sure there's no stat tracking for CHL which sucks.
I'm disappointed with some of the potentials of our prospects, which is huge. If they don't have a good potential rating they just won't improve. You'd probably have ensure they play top minutes and score ridiculous amounts of points to grow in ratings.

This has nothing to do with your post but im quoting it anyways, the one thing that i have a hard time with in NHL 11 is the damn football rugby style hits, like the damn players are just flying around my screen like candy from a pinata. Yeah, based on that, I traded Erik Karlsson and am openly willing to trade Rundblad if he's a deal-breaker. Cowen I like because of the size.
Hmm....Where's Patrick Wiercioch in that game. Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing him.

Once he gets to the AHL Wiercioch will be in the game, otherwise there's no NCAA players.

Re: EA NHL 2011 Discussion thread
DownGoesBrown does a great writeup:

Here are a couple of quotes:
http://sports.nationalpost.com/2010/09/07/the-down-goes-brown-nhl-11-review/
Here are a couple of quotes:
• The game includes an improved breakaway and shootout system that promises to completely revolutionize the way you randomly swing your stick back and forth before skating into the goalie without even getting a shot off.
• Negotiating long-term deals with free agents is so realistic that the game kept interrupting me with empty threats about voiding contracts I signed while playing NHL 10.

Re: EA NHL 2011 Discussion thread
...another one:
• The game features a fully customizable sound system with a slider for each element of background noise. For example, you can slide the music from “high” to “low”, the crowd noise from “loud” to “silent”, and Pierre McGuire from “excruciatingly loud” to “Oh, good lord, even when I turn off the game I can still hear him in my nightmares”.
