Interesting results from the TSN Mock Draft... McGuire and Button did all the picks. We'll see how it all lines up...

Everything is for sale, and also, don't listen to what GMs say.

Kadri falls 5 back from his original draft position, but since it's the Toronto Sports Network, they moved Cowen *10* places back to compensate. Yeah, the guy comes up from Junior and is instrumental in helping his AHL team win the Calder Cup, and he falls 10 places. Is it because he hasn't yet made it to the NHL? Well, neither has Kadri, really. At least Cowen had injury rehab and mono as excuses.

Unfortunately, Button may be challenged. He certainly doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to hockey and that's a real waste of time when they let him do a show like this. Idiocy!

Yeah I noticed that too. Cowen falling 10 places back was all I needed to jump out of my chair and roll on the floor with laughter. This guy clearly has zero clue about...anything. How did Erixon jump so much and not Rundblad?

Did he even mention Rundblad? I don't remember.

Rundblad moved up 2 spots in the re-draft.

15 17 +2 STL David Rundblad Swedish defenceman of the year.

19 9 -10 OTT Jared Cowen Nothing flashy but a good, solid 2nd pair defenseman.

Interesting. It's been a while since I've seen Larsson going 1st overall; don't think that will happen. Zibanejad falls all the way to 11 yet the Sens take Couturier at #6. A week ago I would have agreed, but Zibanejad looks more NHL-ready. And they've got Rattie going to the Sens at #21.

Not sure if you are aware but the Sens have said numerous times NHL readyness is not a factor.

It really just seems like Zibanejad would go ahead of Couturier because of late hype. Seeing both, there's nothing that shows me that Couturier isn't the better prospect. I would have loved to see Zibanejad in the CHL to get a fair comparison.

Gotta trust the scouts at this point.

You're right, but the scouts still rank Couturier high on average, according to Mackenzie's list. I just really don't enjoy the idea of the Sens passing on Couturier if they were choosing between him and Zibanejad. I would have no problem passing on Couturier for Strome though.

If that happens there is a reason for it.
