As long as Zibanejad doesn't play another game in the NHL this year, his ELC slides to next year.

What about playoff games?

I've never been clear on that, but I think the answer is, yes, they count against a player's ELC. That's just a guess, tho'.

I wouldn't see why they would, because you don't earn any money. However, it is a moot point because a player would have to be on the team by a certain date in order to be eligible for the playoffs I believe.

Oh yeah, you're definitely right on that one. Given that, it's probably just not possible to be in a situation where this could happen.

Zibanejad is under contract and has already played on the team. He could be recalled but not inserted into the lineup in the regular season, so no game #10. Is that doable?

13 game point streak for Silfverberg today.

Zibanejad 1 assist, a little 3 game point streak for him I believe.

However his team blows and they slipped to 9th. If they get back to 8th, they will end their season next Tuesday. If they finish 9th, they will have to play in the relegation playoffs. I don't think Djurgården, a legendary team from Stockholm with such players as Mats Sundin, has ever been relegated.

What? Shinnimin was a free agent and just got signed by Phoenix. Surprised there wasn't a lot of buzz around him as a coveted junior FA.

Maybe the Sens scouts thought Murray was asking them to get Cinnamon?

So giving up nothing except a paycheque which is obvious for anyone in professional hockey isn't free eh? Funny that whenever a GM signs a player that they didn't have to trade for or use a draft pick on it is called getting a player "for free". Nice try with semantics. Smart arse.

and FYI this Shinniman tried out with the Coyotes this past season so obviously they were his first choice

Come on man. They're not going to waste a contract on a guy think think is a junior star and nothing more. And even then Phoenix had first dibs.

13 on 45 shots. Those are "Johnny" numbers. It's worth noting that Niagra is one of the most feared offences in the league, and Crisp was actually a healthy scratch.
