Heh. Tweet from Bissonnette: As punishment for Kyle Turris holding out he has to play on my line for a few days. But on a serious note, welcome back Turry. #Yotes

Looks like he's going through his physicals today.

Turris will most likely be sent to the AHL for conditioning:

Bruins @ Sabres - grudge match? Response from Buffalo? I expect nothing...

Buffalo needs to worry about winning...it's cliche, but it's true. There's nothing they can do that'll make up for what happened last time....jesus, even if they injury Timmy T, Rask is probably the best backup in the NHL (maybe him and Schneider)....

So Turris still wants tout of Phoenix, that much is a given. Now he is going to the AHL on a conditioning stint (to get into game shape? to keep him off of the Coyote's roster? to give scouts a chance to see him?)

Since he clearly doesn't want to be in Phoenix, they should try to get rid of him ASAP. You don't want a disgruntled player around your team, right? Same argument was used for Heatley.

51 year old Embroidery Store owner to back-up for Wild tonight!

Due to personal reasons, Niklas Backstrom, who was the scheduled starter tonight, will not be at the game tonight. That means Josh Harding will be the starter, but here’s where it gets interesting.

Houston Aeros goaltender Matt Hackett has been recalled and is on a flight to the Twin Cities right now. He’s not expected to touch down on the biggest travel day of the year until about 6:30. That means the likelihood that he’s here for warmups is very small and he may even miss part of the first period.

The Wild has reacted by signing Paul Deutsch, who runs a screen printing and embroidery store in Richfield, as the emergency goaltender. As per League rules, the Wild was forbidden from signing a goalie with professional experience, so Deutsch signed his ATO today.

So, Gaustad and Lucic duke it out early, Lucic wins easily but Gaustad at least represented. That's in the books now.

Brian Elliott still getting the job done. The guy is a number 1 goaltender and always has been. It's a shame Ottawa almost ruined him. Right now, he wins the Vezina at the 1/4 mark.

Perfect time for STL to trade him to Columbus.

Pierre McGuire: (the Sabres-Bruins) rivalry has been a longtime rivalry for a long time.

Rhett Warrener Rips the Flames.

Warrener lost it this morning on the Fan and held nothing back. Says the team is a bunch of quitters and was the reason Regehr wasn't opposed to leaving. Says that firing another coach isn't going to solve the problem as a 5th coach since the lockout shows that the players are the problem. Calls out Iginla for not playing hard and the players in general for signing the contracts and not playing hard. Called out Tangs for saying the same sad comments to the media after every loss and then goes out and stinks it up the next game. Says Feaster dropped the ball not trading players that were hot in the 2nd half of the season at the deadline and cashing in. He believes Iginla needs to go and wonders why he wants to stay if it means playing this way on this team.

I would call this empty coming from you, I, or a guy on the radio but considering he's a former player and has played with many of the players on the current team it's refreshing. Warrener is generally concerned about the plight of this team and you would think if anyone would want to see this group stick together it would be him but he knows what needs to be done as does the rest of the hockey world. The term 'blowup' has been used often around here but it's something that needs to be done but at a scale that most don't condone and that means trading the captain. IMO Kipper would be the only player on the current roster that I wouldn't trade at this point.

For the first time in the history of the Calgary Flames the team needs to be bad for the right reasons not the wrong reasons like they are currently and in the mid/late 90's.

Yikes!
