A DASH GDT finally gets a win.

Nice.

Yeah, I foresee no lineup changes vs Edmonton.

And how about our Captain. Scored a beauty...kicking the puck up to his stick and then wiring it home.

From what I saw, Foligno also had a strong game.

I couldn't believe that we got 3 bounces go our way on that play. Shocking!

Ok, so I just checked my record this (regular) season for when I created the GDT, and the Sens are 4-6.

Overall they still gave up way too many shots and waaaaay too many really good chances. Anderson was lights out. I didn't want to say it at the time but I thought he might get a shutout. And if not for Alfie's over-zealous stick he probably would have. So, both goalies had good games and we won. I feel good about our offensive game, but we have to tighten up defensively.

Zach Smith had more TOI than the 1st line. Yeah, I'm talking ES.

Yeah, he, Condra and Daugavins were literally all over the ice last night, it was really neat to watch.

I started pondering whether Z.Smith should be playing 2nd line C, but why break up a solid line I guess.

In other news: The Flames have no present and no future, what a sad team. Uhoh!

Yep. They kinda peaked when they made it to the finals, and have been desperately trying to hang on to that dream with aging players...Ottawa's management was at least smart enough to see that the ship had sailed, and tore things down for a rebuild. Calgary should've done that, but seem oddly reluctant.

Iginla could fetch quite the return, as could Kipper.

This is funny though:

1.Iginla - full NMC
2.Tanguay - NTC (modified - not sure what that means)
3.Stajan - NTC (modified)
4.Bourque - NTC (modified)
5.O.Jokinen - NMC (lol)
6.Glencross - NMC
7.Bouwmeester - NTC
8.Giordano - NMC until 2013, then NTC
9.Sarich - NMC (lol)
10.Babchuk - NTC
11.Kipper - NMC through the rest of this season

Lee Stempniak anyone? Kostopoulos? Brendan Morrison? No? Scott Hannan?

No? Okay, that's all we have to offer (lol).

It is a joke, it's hilarious to non-Flames fans. Look at all of those silly NTC/NMC Laughing3

No one is going to stick around Calgary for the full out rebuild. Those NTC's are not a huge deal at all, they will just allow a player to pick a certain spot.

Either way, the sooner Calgary blows it all up the better.

Speaking of ice time, Da Costa is *still* taking the longest shift (average) of any forward.

The Sens had 32 shots on goal and 19 missed shots. By comparison, the Flames had 39 shots and only 8 misses.

Time to break out the Shooter Tutor and a shock collar for Da Costa?

Bit of a problem for sure. That's why you saw Smith getting double shifted. MacLean makes it pretty clear he wants 35-45 second shifts max.
