    I'm a giant nerd

Post by Riprock on Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:54 am

    Thanks, Tim!

I'm not a Trekkie or a Star Wars geek, but when I was young (and slightly even to this day) I have a huge crush on...

And since I guess this is also a sci-fi show...

Questions. The pink one. Is that a Power Ranger? I'd tap into that power.

I have no idea who the 2nd one is.

The second image is "Aspirin!" from Fringe. Real name is Astrid Farnsworth, but John Noble's "Walter" character consistently calls her as any approximation of "Astrid" ("Aspirin" was my favorite).

Real Star Trek died a long time ago, I think TNG was the last good series I watched. Actually DS9 was good but I was so burnt out I stopped watching, need to finish the series sometime.

Voyager (with Captain Bonnie Tyler) and Enterprise were just cringe inducing.

The recent movie was an entertaining film but bad Star Trek IMHO.

I liked Voyager and I liked Enterprise (both of them more than DS9). Enterprise was getting really good just before it got canceled.

I enjoyed the new movie, perhaps not as much as others, but I did not find anything about it that made my Spock-ears prick up. They created an alternate timeline so they could throw canon out the window, and that's fine by me. Too bad they waited this long to make the next one (2013 now?)

The last great Star Trek moment was Chris Plummer doing Shakespeare just before getting blowed up.

    Fact.

Yup, Amy Jo Johnson, original Pink Ranger and now on Flashpoint.

And as Prager already mentioned, the other is Jasika Nicole as Astrid in Fringe.

I can't understand who wouldn't like A New Hope and Empire at least, and most probably Jedi as well. The newer trilogy lacked, although Revenge of the Sith was good, but Empire is a masterpiece. Mel recently watched them (she thinks for the first time) and thought they were awesome.

But my next toy courtesy of ThinkGeek will be the annoy-a-tron. A device that emits a beep at random intervals of 2 to 8 minutes, making it difficult to track down, and will cause people to go insane! Battery lasts 3 to 4 weeks.

Evil evil toy! But remember everybody, as Uncle Ben said, with great power comes great responsibility!
