Heh. That would be a ridiculous amount of email. Like, over 10,000 per day. Yes, per day.

Ever seen a Microsoft Word attachment, Billy?

Yes. And there are size limits to what you can send to your device.

I should also add that I use e-mail notifications to monitor stuff (build status, checkins, some miscellaneous stuff). The checkins includes both documents and source code (source in a number of different branches, as well). The notification e-mails are small but there are literally thousands of them.

I think you meant Wrang. But I resent it just the same.

Heh. Your BB is gonna be busy then. The "new message" indicator will be solid red. Wink

The 9900 is sweet. Same one I have. You'll love it.

Prager - get yourself a protective case.

BlackBerry Hard Shell Case is good and does not bulk it up too much.

If you already have a blue tooth device, it should pair just fine.

I'll talk it over with my manager, because he monitors the same notifications. I think the "Rules and Alerts" filtering takes place on the server so if I don't include those sub-folders for the BB then I should be ok? Otherwise it will be vibrating constantly.

I've got a stereo headset but I'll be looking for something smaller. It's fine for listening to music but I look a little weird when I use it in the car for hands-free use with my cellphone (think the brother from Something About Mary). A one-ear headset is fine for cellphone action, but you need two for playing music. I've seen some nice ones but I keep looking for one where the microphone is not right on one of the earpieces.

As for the case, I'm hoping it comes with something to clip on to the belt already. I'll have to see.

Yeah, the phone will come with a leather holster in the box as well as an ear piece. I'm not a fan of the leather holster to be honest and never use it. I just keep my Berry in my pocket.

It's still not here. Ordered it on Thursday, what is taking so long?

Edit: Just received an e-mail with the subjkect "Procurement Order # 2453857 - Activate New Service - Pending Vendor Input". The guy processing the order has e-mailed the carrier requesting "completion details". I guess I'm not the only wondering why it's taking so long.

Corporate BB orders (BES) can take some time... very different from consumer orders (BIS).

Real men use iPhones.

I have neither a BB or an iPhone, but if I were a Man, I'd get an iPhone. Better to ditch your dingleberries and get away from that sinking ship.

Yeah, so people say. What exactly do you get done with your BB that you couldn't with an iPhone?

It comes down to email/calendar/contact management. With my BB, I manage 6 email accounts along with full calendar/contact/task/memo integration with Outlook. Very hard to do with an iPhone. Productivity vs Entertainment.
