Re: 2012 All-Star Game
Perhaps I'm in the minority, but should that have really been a 3 game suspension?

Has Ovie not been suspended twice already before? I'd say he got off easy. 5 games for that in my books.

Lots of speculation that, aside from Karlsson being picked first, that Alfie could very well pick the Sedins (since it is unlikely Chara will).
Do you think the Alfie will need to trade up so that he can draft both brothers? God forbid they play on different teams (one year is enough) ...

Ha. It would be funny if they went last, ensuring that at least one of them is on Chara's team.

Even more brutal, there was no call on the play.

Re: 2012 All-Star Game
What's even more funny is that Ovechkin feels Michalek should have gotten suspended for "ducking" right before the hit and that's why there was contact with his head.
Mind boggling.
EDIT: my bad, he was referring to the hit Michalek delivered but received no supplemental discipline.

Yep. Pierre Mcguire was all over it on the NBC broadcast. He figured it'd be reviewed. It should've been a five-minute major AND a long suspension. Inexcusable...OV can be reckless.

The Devils' Adams aren't coming to Ottawa. Rookie Adam Larsson (wrist) and Adam Henrique (groin) are injured
Cowen time?!?

Hopefully! He'll have to cancel whatever plans he had.

Cowen has the same number of points, a better +/- record, and arguably plays a much, much bigger role for his team, playing 20+ a night. So, yea, sounds about right.

While we're on it... Condra also has better numbers across the board than Hagelin.

Probably came down to evening out the left-side/right-side D.

That would be the most logical explanation. Either that, or no one in Ottawa wants to see Ottawa Senators players in the All-Star Game. Probably a bit of both, actually.

If not for the voting, Greening would be the only representative in the ASG. Fact.

Good work. Meh, does anyone really care? Cowen's "skillset" isn't exactly ASG-friendly anyways.
