For what it's worth, the last goal was really flukey.

Yeah but they've just been standing around watching the play since it became 4-0. Flukey or not, they allowed it to happen. Need to wake up now, neivirth has stoned them as well

Meh. They took the foot off the gas. That 2nd Caps goal was flukey. Off the face and in.

Shut it down now boys.

They lost the handle for most of the 3rd, but that was a great game. These Sens are really something.

At least McStache will have something to talk about at practice.

Hey, how'd you do that? I used the (img) and (/img) things (with square brackets), but you seem to have a slightly different and longer link, with a .png extension... What am I doing wrong?

Also, nice to see Foligno get one. He's been looking bummed lately. Let's hope this gets him back on track.

Nice of McStache to put Foligno out there with the empty net. It's been a while for him. Next time, should be Condra. 22 or 23 games now.

The link you had was an HTML page. I right-clicked on the picture and selected View Image, which brought me to the image itself, as opposed to the web page *with* the image embedded. You should also be able to just right-click and select Copy Image Location, but sometimes the image location is not actually an image URL. Depending on how badly they want to keep the location of the image inaccessible it could be difficult to impossible to link directly to the picture (this one was easy).

I believe I was mentioning call-in show "contributors" very recently in a rebuttal of sorts (the whole "Why hate the Leafs" discussion).

Reading Yost on Kuba is equally hilarious / mystifying. Kuba has one bad season (4 months, really), and that's his (Yost's) only & constant point of reference. The other 10+ years, and right now? Meh, can't remember / not important.

Karlsson needs a steadying presence to excel, and he's getting that with Kuba. Don't mess with that formula.

It's like Toddlers in Tiaras and the other train-wreck shows on TLC. You just can't pull yourself away.

The other day there was a show about this dumpster diver (cheap guy). For his 25th wedding anniversary he gets his wife a bouquet of roses pulled out of a dumpster, a box of Animal Crackers from a Dollar Store ("She likes animals. She likes cookies. And look, it's not even past the expiry date!"), one of those squeeze toys where the eyes pop-out when you squeeze it, and something else (all from the Dollar Store).

But my 15 year old questions why I like watching or even listening to hockey on the radio.

Great game, Matrix played very well and deserved the shutout, if only Ottawa hadn't let up in the 3rd and Perrault hadn't scored off his teeth.

Just hope the sloppy 3rd period play doesn't carry over into our game against the Bruins.

Excellent win for the Sens.

There were a lot of people wondered who Karlsson was and when he was up on stage, he looked so small and the questions started to come. Heh heh. As they say though, don't judge a book by it's cover.

Fast forward to now and Murray's brilliance along with the supreme scouting they had are vindicated.

As for Brennan, he is who we thought he is.

It was interesting to see Neil take a couple runs in the 1st period at Semin (one of which resulted in the "Hit to the Head" penalty), and there was ZERO response from the Caps. They weren't physical, didn't retaliate...just...emotionless. Hard to imagine with Dale Hunter behind the bench, but maybe his heart's really not in it either. Apparently it took some convincing to get him to leave London to come coach the Caps. Almost like he felt obliged to help them.

Vokoun's numbers astounded me last night as I hadn't been paying attention. .920, 2.45? Damn...the Caps can't score anymore, everything has gone to Dung there.

Vokoun's numbers astounded me last night as I hadn't been paying attention. .920, 2.45? Damn...the Caps can't score anymore, everything has gone to Dung there.

Reimer + what? Smile

They remind me of the Sens did when Hartsburg was coach.

Very true. I was thinking yesterday how good they'd be with MacLean as their coach.

MacLean is not Jesus. I think he's a real good coach and will actually even get better as time goes on but this team was being run by Mighty Mike Fisher and once he was gone, the team was better overnight. Fact. Beer

No, but he can push the right buttons and allows for an offensive, Detroit puck possession type game that would have benefited the Caps in a huge way.
