Still don't think that makes Minny any better than say Chicago, LA, or Vancouver. They are better for sure and they could become a contender but they still only really have 1 super start and that Parise.

Well, East got weaker so that's all that matters.

NJ is officially screwed though. They won't bounce back from that and they don't have a 1st rounder in the next year or the one after. Tough break.

They have their 1st next year if they want it. They have to give up one from next year or 2014.

LeBrun reports that Chelios was in on the Suter pitch for Detroit. Haha. Chelios probably talked about how awesome he was when he played the whole time.

Wings are in a lot of trouble with Howard and without Lidstrom. This is probably the year you see the shift.

The best they've done in the last 3 seasons is go to round 2 of the playoffs. I guess the shift is to "bubble" team?

What about all the can't miss late picks though?!?!?!? Anyone?!?!?!?! Laugh1 Laughing3

At least now some other players will fall and teams in the East are not worried about loading up. This move is only good for the East.

Man, Minny has cashed in... will be interesting to see how it plays out in the long run... and let's not forget about DiPietro... the original one...

I think Minny is a lock for the playoffs now, they are pretty strong everywhere. Contender for sure. Favorite? No way. That LA team still has what Minny does but is younger, tougher, faster, and just better.
