    Hmmmm...

    7.5 million X 4 years? He's 34 as it is, that's ridiculous.

I often wonder how much autonomy players give their agents to make these sort of demands. I'm only guessing, but I think a lot of them tell their agents what they want in rough terms (want to play for a contender, for example) and let the agents work out the numbers.

Yeah, really. I wonder how much of that is true and how much of it is designed to make the Pens, Wings etc. a little more desperate to make a move on him. If he gets 7.5 X 4, I'll laugh at that team. It'll be a big, big mistake IMO.

Now, 7 X 3...that sounds a lot better than the extra year and the extra half million per year.

Why would you pay $7M for a 50-60 point player? I get that he brings more than points to the table, but I'd peg his value at around $5M tops. Even then, I wouldn't even consider signing him for more than two years. He's about four or five years past his prime.

IMO, $7M is absurd. Four years is insane.

I wonder if these Agents are speaking before checking with their clients...

I'd think about 3 X 7 for what he brings night in and night out, but not a penny more and not a year longer.

Why is being against happy marriage considered being "antigay"? Just curious.

Excellent point, but we don't know the preceding discussion.

Because they think they are not worthy of rights? They think they are an "abomination"?

It's as bad as saying: "I'm not racist, but I think white people are superior to black people and it's disgusting and an abomination for a white woman to be with a black man, or vice versa."

That's not it at all. You are attacking it from the wrong end Sarcasm (sorry, that was not intentional)

People who don't support same-sex marriage do so because their definition of marriage is one man, one woman. That's it. We are not talking definition of love, companionship or even family.

Anyhow, isn't this a hockey board?

The definition of marriage has changed lots of times. You couldn't get a divorce before. You could, however, sell your daughter into marriage for a few goats. Things change. Actually, the definition of marriage on North American soil has changed many times. Certain First Nations recognized gay marriage centuries ago. In fact, for a while, the Canadian government (well, British) recognized those unions as well (they were picking their battles).

You're right though. This is a hockey board. These conversations can be very divisive.

So Logan Couture tweets a porn link. Oops. His excuse -- it wasn't me; I wasn't even up at 2AM you freaks. No explanation though how he managed to delete it 20 minutes later. Must have set his alarm clock to 2:15AM.

Puck Daddy has the top-five list of "excuses". Some of them are pretty good:

"I was hacked; but Tim Peel was officiating so no-one saw it."

IANAOS but do bone spurs form over a period of a 6-game series? More likely Crosby had heard that Giroux had some pain/discomfort in his wrists and was just going for that.

Why can't you just type out "I am not an orthopedic surgeon"? It's not like IANAOS is a common acronym in web-speak or even medical jargon.
