What is this based on? Because it certainly isn't revenues.

Here's the specific breakdown:

Portion of franchise's value attributable to revenue shared among all teams.
Portion of franchise's value attributable to its city and market size.
Portion of franchise's value attributable to its arena.
Portion of franchise's value attributable to its brand.

I think the Dallas metro area is 5 or 6 times bigger than Ottawa so that might be a huge factor right there.

From Forbes:

Owner Eugene Melnyk has denied reports that he is looking for investors in the Senators due to the team's hefty debt, but he has said his team has been losing money.

He registered a 0.30... WOW! That is high. He's facing jail time under the new super drunk rules in Michigan.

He could also face deportation back to Canada.. which would essentially ruin any chance he has of having a pro career.

I think this kid has been in trouble before.. he must have 'issues'.

At least he was dressed as the purple Teletubby, clearly an indication that he supports happy rights.

There is now a picture and story to go along with this:

I can't watch the video at work...someone do it for me and tell me it's as awesome as it is in my brain.

But that recent report shows the Sens made about 14Milllion last season?

I'm sure his divorce hit him hard financially...

That Forbes piece was done without any NHL financials... not sure how they came to their numbers, probably a "best guess".

Karlsson coming to Ottawa instead of playing with the National team in something called the Channel One Cup. In Moscow.

I say "Channel One Cup" and you post that? Are you playing some kind of visual word association game?
