They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

I remember my grandfather telling me stories about WWII. Hard to even fathom what these veterans have been through. They've got all the respect I've got to give.

I am tired after an afternoon of paintball... so I can't even imagine 4 years in Cold Russian Winter with not much food and nowhere to sleep.
Respect. And a big Diddle you to politicians.

Used to visit the Veteran's Hospital in Montreal quite a bit when I played in the Sally Ann band. In some ways those who lost their lives were the lucky ones. I know it's been said a billion times, but war is hell and these guys went through it so we don't have to.

Cherry tweeted that he drove through downtown TO and saw 4 poppies. Disgraceful.
