What is with them and the shots...

as long as the actual shots make it to the back of the net...

Similar system to MacLean and we got outshot a lot as well last season. We had one of the worst shot differentials I believe.

29th in the league in shots against (32.0 versus Carolina's 32.4). 9th in the league in shots for at 31.4. You know, looking at all the stats, that was a very unremarkable team. What was remarkable about it is that they made the playoffs. How? Well, it was a very young team so they made lots of mistakes, leading to those very unremarkable stats. They had great goaltending after the break, they had Karlsson powering the offense and they stayed mostly healthy (the chicken breast fiasco almost derailed them, though); and MacStache did pretty well for a rookie head coach. I would like to see them cut down on those shots against, and maybe improve on the special teams and face offs a bit.

Yeah, they peppered the heck out of the other goalie. 41 shots thus far.

He stopped the first four shooters. Can't pin this one on him.

I was only following the game on twitter but it sounded only 1 one of them actually got a shot off on goal(besides the GWG).

Can confirm #Sens camp Fwd invites: Noesen, Silfverberg, Hoffman. No Stone or DaCosta.

SensProspects ‏@SensProspects
Can confirm Bishop, Lehner, Borowiecki, Benoit, Wiercioch are the other invites. #Sens #BSens

SensProspects ‏@SensProspects
#BSens forward Andre Petersson done for the year with a hip injury requiring surgery. To have same procedure as Jared Cowen. #Sens

I guess those are the invites for training camp, no Ceci ?

Quick camp... they've probably got most of their decisions done already... time for someone to shine at camp.

Tough luck for Petersson. He may be done as far as the Sens are concerned.

According to capgeek, he's still under contract for 2013-2014, so he'll have one more shot unless he wants to pack it up and go back to Sweden.

Yup. He was my favorite forward prospect at one time but he just can't stay healthy. Some guys just don't have the luck or the makeup to be an NHL player. So much talent too.
