Tough luck for Petersson. He may be done as far as the Sens are concerned.

According to capgeek, he's still under contract for 2013-2014, so he'll have one more shot unless he wants to pack it up and go back to Sweden.

Yup. He was my favorite forward prospect at one time but he just can't stay healthy. Some guys just don't have the luck or the makeup to be an NHL player. So much talent too.

so Da Costa didn't get an invite and he's an RFA after this year. I guess he'll get moved, ever since we got Turris he really has no further role in the org it seems.

Aw man. Poor baby head. We'll see. Maybe he'll get some call-ups and get a chance.

Stone on the top line. No more empty-netter, you hear?

What does the defense look like for tonight's game? Lawson in goal?

I feel bad for Gryba... He should get his chance.

Not sure why Da Costa didn't get an invite. He's injury prone, but he's shown that when healthy he's very effective.

Not close to being good enough this year.

Gryba needs to do a lot more to show he's NHL ready.

Is he physically ready for the NHL ? He was like a little kid in the NHL last year, totally outclassed. I know he worked out a lot in the summer so I imagine he made progress so you're probably right we'll see him at some point.

He's got skills.

They will handle Da Costa a lot like Hoffman IMO. He needs to play a full season in the AHL for sure, no reason to bring him up because as of right now there is no need.

He will more than likely be a winger at the NHL level, doesn't have the game to be a NHL center.

I know you'll say it's a useless stat, but he's leading Bingo in +/-, or at least was, not too long ago. More importantly, he was -13 last year and is +13 this year -- that's a big turnaround. He's not going to light it up, but his offense is about on par with last year's output, but he does have a lot more PIMs. The whole team has more PIMs this year, I think. And he shoots left.

As a bottom-pairing guy, why not? I think he'll get a shot in the not-too-distant future, assuming he doesn't falter playing top-pairing minutes with Wiercioch and Borowiecki up in Ottawa.

What's his +/- look like without the two best goaltenders in the AHL?

Doesn't matter. Not comparing him to the league, just to the other players on his team.
