I believe the flaming pile of Dung is now called Rogers NHL Live in Canada. I believe you need a Rogers account to order it, but obviously don't need any other Rogers services.

Being a Rogers property, it is complete and utter Dung and their webpage doesn't even have clear instructions on how to subscribe or how much it costs.

https://secure.nhllive.rogers.com/pricing?ro=true&lang=en

What a Cussing embarassment.

Just been reading up on Rogers NHL Live/SportsNet Now etc: https://nhllive.rogers.com/en/support-faqs

Last year it was $200, or $180 early-bird, or $30/month.  I'm assuming it will be around the same this year.

I think you can just order the online version without any Rogers (for those without cable) I mean, that’s what the rest of the world outside of North America does.
Those are the prices I’m wondering about. Hopefully with my VPN it should allow me to have every sens game.

Im still unsure on whether I want to watch the sens at all but we’ll see.
Im definitely taking it on a month per month basis.

Is anyone familiar with a great site to buy refurbished MacBooks pro? I’m trying to find something recent so 2015 and newer. If it has the touch bar even better.

Rogers NHL Live is what you get for out of market games (e.g. Sens fan living in Montreal). You can use it on pretty much any platform (no cable required).

One of the detectors started chirping. Every 45 seconds. Narrowed or down to the two in the upstairs hallway. One takes 2 AAAs, I've got those. The other takes a 9V. Don't have that one. Guess which one needs replacing?

Anyhow, I first tried replacing the AAAs. Batteries are in a compartment that pulls out. Could not get them out of the compartment. Disconnected the unit, brought it back to the bedroom. Tried plying them out with my car key, no deal. Eventually got it out by pushing through a little hole from behind. Why the hell do they make these MFs so difficult?

Chirping didn't stop so must be the 9V. Before finding outi didn't have a spare I tried to take it out. Same deal as before, it's a pull out "drawer". But this time the battery leads aren't connected to this drawer. They are inside and the connection is made when you push it back in, I guess. Impossible to tell which way the battery goes because I can't see the connectors and I can't see any markings on the drawer part. Tried taking the unit out so I can examine it not looking up at the ceiling from a foot stand but it started beeping instead of chirping. So I put it back and now it's still chirping. It's almost 7. Wonder what's open 7am Sundays.

So I've replaced the AAs in the smoke detector and the 9V in the CO detector (tried it both ways as 8 still can't tell which way it's supposed to go in). Now I think they are both chirping, at different intervals.

I removed the CO detector so I could take a closer look. Nothing got set off this time, so I could look at it in relative peace (the smoke alarm let chirping). I can now see that there are slits where the battery leads go through, and one is wider for the negative lead. Thing is, in pretty sure I could push hard enough and jam it in the other way. I think the CO detector is ok now.

Looking at some YouTube videos you should be able to test the battery by pressing the test button. Mine does nothing. Dead battery? I just bought them a couple weeks ago at Costco, and the date on the batteries says March 2028.

These are the Duracells with the built in power meter. I tested a bunch of them and roughly one third don't register anything. Another third I get the red and yellow zones to light up. Three past third I can get it to yellow or even a bit of green. But even those ones don't make my unit chirp when pressing the test button.

Don't trust those built in testers, so I dig out my multimeter - all the batteries are showing 1.6 - 1.62. batteries are fine. Is it my device? Did I break something when I was trying to get the batteries out?

Aha! One of the contacts in the pull out battery drawer was bent forward so when I pushed in the battery, instead of compressing and making contact it got pushed down by the battery edge. Surprised it didn't break right off. Managed to push it back a bit and use a knife tip to hold it in while pushing the batteries into place. Unit is back up on the ceiling and no longer chirping.

I figured mother’s day prags, where the lady gets all the attention finally leaves Prags time to take us along the play by play of changing smoke alarms.
I feel safer about his home knowing all this now.

Wow. The drama and intrigue. Game of Thrones has nothing on Prags' tales of woe.

This is starting to get interesting.im with teksavvy right now.

Although it seems I’d be paying a minimum of 40$ a month just to get sports.

It seems ok but I bet they still have localblackouts on games.
Still, maybe it’s in the right direction.

What’s basic cable and sports add on run you guys in Ottawa?

I'm not sure what it runs exactly. When I cancelled my cable last year, I was paying around $90/month (no bundle) for Rogers VIP package, which included all the sports channels.
