MacArthur did the same thing on his road to recovery. The problem here is he's likely to rush back before he's ready.

Lazar has never missed the playoffs in his entire career. Confused!

Pacioretty was not involved in the line rushes or any contact drills. Doesn't look like he's been cleared for contact. I doubt we see him in G1 and if the Habs win Ha we won't see him in G2 for sure.

When he does come back, don't expect he'll be anywhere near 80-90%. Took MacArthur 6 games to be fully up to speed.

And that doesn't even account for the fact that the speed and intensity is ramped up even further as the playoffs drag on. He's going to be stepping on a treadmill at full speed and trying to do so at walking speed.

Montreal won 9 of their last 20 games.
THere is no way they beat us with a crippled Pacioretty.

I will be stunned if Pacioretty does not play by Game 2. More likely than not, he plays tomorrow. Therrien said in his presser that Pacioretty was cleared but did not take contact today.

I think the safe play is to prepare and assume that Pacioretty plays tomorrow. Eliminate the one or two breakaways he gets per game, and all is good.

Agreed. If he's cleared he's playing.

Better yet, eliminate the one or two brain cells he has left.

I wouldn't believe anything Therrien says. If he was cleared for contact then wouldn't it be best to try it out in the friendly confines of a practice where the players could be told to start slow and build it up? When you rehab from a concussion you first rest, then you start with light exercise and slowly build up the intensity. Should be exactly the same for contact.

    But what do I know.

Just Therrien's lame attempt at "gamesmanship." Laughable. Makes me feel like trolling Habs fans with the GMHockey twitter account.

How's that coming old friend? GMHockey Twitter quicky becoming the fasting growing phenomenon in interweb history?

So it seems Karlsson is playing through some injury?

Most players are playing hurt this time of the year. I would be more concerned if we didn't have a few guys that are not a bit bruised up.

Yes I know. I just didn't think he was one of them. He still plays close to half the game.

Although there's this goalie we all know...... Sarcasm

An injured "Karls" Karlsson is still 4 times as good as a healthy Subban.

If only he gave up 15-20 points per season to win games like PK....

    PK = Pretend Karlsson

This hasn't been a secret for a while now...he hasn't practiced or taken a game day skate in a couple weeks.
