Columbus without a win so far. Will be pretty hungry for one. Best not undervalue their capabilities.

We now know how putrid Columbus is, having lost to the Leaves, a team we barely beat. That win doesn't look so good now.

I hope the Sens brass wakes up soon and shakes this thing up before it's too late.

More likely they'll just shake, shake, shake, shake it off.

That's my point. Why condense the schedule if it could of been spread out more evenly. The good news is method and mac should draw back in.

Three Sens players in the top-10 in points. And Hoffman's only 1 point back of making it four. Wonder if this will hold up after 10 games.

    Whoa, that'll do.

There's that top-six forward Murray's been looking for Sarcasm

Seriously, though, first time I looked at it I though, nice, but let's not forget where he's playing. Then I looked at it again and thought, wait, isn't "Chabot" the *defenseman* they drafted? He might be hearing from his Defenseman Union rep after that one.

Maybe you break up the top line and move Hoffman with ZBad and Ryan to the left with Stone and Turris. That'll get him going and Hoffman can do it himself right now.

Might be a good idea until Bm can nab that ellusive top 6 forward.
Ryan seems really frustrated with the situation. He needs someone that can distribute the puck more effectively. Zib just needs to get it going and find motivation if he wants to be that person.

He's frustrated with himself though because he's started slowly - again, and he wants so badly to be 'the guy'. I don't think we need a top 6 player personally. We were one of the top scoring teams in the league last year (9th I think). We need to have Ryan sniping with our top C and top playmaker and we need to get ZBad linemates where he can excel. Hoffman and MacArthur when healthy would do it, Hoffman and Michalek now or Hoffman and Puempel/Prince would work too, or I think it would.

Just need to get Ryan back to scoring every 2nd game.

Ryan looked a lot more dangerous when he was playing with Turris.
It's hard to say that we need to make a move to replace Zib but something needs to happen to make that line more effective.

So we break up one of, if not the best line in the NHL to spark Bobby Ryan?
There are multiple things they can try before going there.

It's not Hoffman that makes the line good, and that's proven. He is clearly the third best and least important member of the line, like Brandon sutter on the sedin line.

And when Zibby/Ryan/Hoffman were very good last year it was not Hoffman either.
And saturday's tying goal with a couple minutes to go was also a fluke.

I find it amazing how you just can't stop criticizing the guy while not saying a single bad thing about our 2 most underachieving players.

I'm against that idea as well. Break something that's working to try to fix something that isn't. Doesn't work for me.
