Not sure if it's personnel we need or better team defensive play. There's no question we give up too many shots on goal, but not sure if it's all the fault of the D.

Definitely not all the fault of the D, I've just wanted a solid nhler to play with Ceci for a while.

Then you would just need a solid NHLer to play with the guy who plays with Ceci.

We'll know this year what kind of player Ceci actually is, but I was impressed with his play in pre-season. I think he might be looking at a 30+ point season.

A win is a win. Two periods of controlling the play and not a single hold or hook for Buffalo? Not saying any of those calls were undeserved but there easily should have been a couple going the other way.

Good on Turris to get the first two out of the way quickly, but he should've had three. And then Karlsson missed an open net too. Scary how close that game was. Have to take the gimmies.

Our fourth line did absolutely nothing. Good thing they at least stayed out of the box.

Zibanejad line needs to get into game shape. Pageau line needs to gel.

    Who's next?

3 - 1 is not great. Could be a rough season.

Got dominated in the third. Good game to win so we can also look over the negatives in the third.

I liked it. Yes it could of been close but we missed on so many opportunities that it could of also been a 4-1 game. It's either way really. The team needs to really get into their groove but that will come. I'll take the W in the mean time

Shaun VanAllen has been helping them out with faceoffs.
