I can't believe you wanted to trade that guy. Wow.

They looked amazing for one period and a bit. Actually, more like one line (or at least 2/3 of one line) looked amazing. Hammond was incredible, but how many times can he do this? This team *can* play great hockey, but there are too many passengers. Stone was great from the drop of the puck, but even he doesn't have games like this on a regular basis. He's definitely heated up of late, though.

Karlsson is going through some kind of funk. Maybe play him with Phaneuf for a while? That first goal, what were the two of them thinking? Methot is supposed to be the steady rock back there but they were both well away from the crease with a Blues player behind them.

If Stone plays like this the rest of the way (and if that arm of his still works in the morning after taking a Karlsson slapper) he better make it onto Team Canada (I think he misses Team Young Stars by something like 5 months).

Me neither.

Pageau apparently has 18 points in his last 20 games.

Still can't believe that actually happened last night. We need Bobby and The Hoff to get going here in a big way since Turris is out.

Bobby especially. Come on man, don't do this again.

BOBBY RYAN SLUMPWATCH 2016

Last 11 GP, 1G, 2A, -10. Averaging about 2 shots on goal per game during this time.

Kinda dumb to just pick a game and say "last __ GP"

I could say 2 points in the last 3 GP and instrumental in the tying goal last night.

That's true, it was him who made that tying goal happen.

Let's also not forget that Ryan has been playing with a broken finger for two years (they need better gloves). He's probably used to getting a lot more shots off if healthy.

Don't forget it was this time last year that Ryan totally vanished. Let's hope this isn't a theme. 1G in in the last 11 games, and 3 points during that stretch just isn't good enough when the team is desperate. Sorry.

I realize you're talking about Ryan, but I also want to point out that when I saw the highlight of that last goal, Hoffman was buzzing around the net and may well have created space for JGP.

I don't really care when a player scores or goes on a slump. The games when he was scoring at a 70 point pace were just as important as these ones.

He and others are gonna have a slump, we can't choose when it happens. Most of it is due to luck.

He's still a consistent guy and our first or second best scoring forward.

The timing of the slump does matter if it's the same time every year...And maybe this is just a blip on the radar of this season and he comes out of it in the next game or two, but I just found it odd that this is when he entered his slump last year too.

That too. Hoffman was flying towards the end - credit to him.

He was playing with a broken finger and couldn't shoot last year. I still also think he was injured beside the finger but would not admit to it.

but it doesn't really if the pre-slump play was extremely good. Nobody but the elites are going to keep it up all year.

but he has two points in the last three games so he is already doing better than last year
