The Pens absolutely pumped the Caps tonight. That'll be the East final, regardless of what round it takes place in.

Often happens once you've clinched a playoff spot and virtually clinched the president's trophy. Hope they have some more letdown left in them for tomorrow night.

Kadri, such a weasel. Soccer-sounding name, for sure.

Diddle I hate kadri. If Murray's still around I could see him going for him via trade too

Murray won't be GM next year. Senior advisor is likely.

Hawks are 4-4-2 in their last 10 and down 4-0 to the Stars. Are they resting up or cratering? Over in the East there are a few playoff teams slowing down (Florida is 4-5-1, Rangers are 4-4-2, Tampa is 5-4-1, Isles are 4-4-2 and Red Wings are 5-5-0 -- but they are probably missing). But over in the West Chicago is the only one with a losing record (or about to get a losing record) in their last 10.

Same here. It'll make the wait for the draft and July 1 that much quicker.

Drouin had an alarm clock malfunction and missed a team meeting, so they are suspending him for tonight's game.

And ppl actually think Drouin is worth a chabot/white/ceci in a trade? Steve Yzerman is an idiot, nobody in the league should be paying such a price for Drouin.
The guy clearly has character issues, no matter how they wanna spin it. Facts are facts. A top 10 pick for Drouin should be more than enough.

Lightning beat the Isles but lose Stralman to a broken leg. He's their #2.

After missing nearly a month on the IR Elliott pitches a shutout as the Blues clinch a playoff spot. This was his third consecutive shutout.

Re: General Hockey Talk - Injuries, signings, factoids + other news from around the league
Holtby wins a 1-0 in OT to become the 6th player to get 45 wins in a single season. Brodeur has done it twice, and holds the all-time single season record of 48. The Capitals have 10 games remaining for Holtby to try for the record.
