Rules

1. Predict the playoff teams in each division
2. Ten points for each correct team
3. Minus one point for every spot you are off
4. Total wins the prize

NOTE: Divisions can have a 5/3 split

Example:

Say the Atlantic finishes like this:

1. Boston
2. Ottawa
3. Montreal
4. Tampa

And the submitted entry was:

1. Tampa
2. Boston
3. Montreal
4. Detroit

You would get points as follows:

1. Tampa (7)
2. Boston (9)
3. Montreal (10)
4. Detroit (0)

TOTAL: 26

Additional Rules:
1. One entry per person
2. You DO NOT need to choose which division winner will play which wild card team
3. Prize is the honour of being the champ
4. Deadline for entry is 7 PM on Wednesday October 12th. PM your picks to PTFlea and dennycrane.
5. TIEBREAKER: Everyone submit their prediction for the team with the worst record in the NHL this season. In the event of a tie at that point, the person with the most correct division winners shall win. Should this still result in a tie, the process will apply to 2nd/3rd/4th until a winner is found.

Once everyone has submitted their entry, we will post the entries for appropriate mocking.

As it stands today I don't see Ottawa making it. If Dorion makes some changes and a trade we might be out the isles for that last playoff spot.

I may come to regret this once Ottawa comes together.

Columbus eh? That's ballsy.
Why is Arizona last? I almost had them as making the playoffs. Sure they're young but they're on the up and up.

I dunno, don't see anything special there in an utra competitive division. Could be anyone I guess. Columbus I've liked for a couple of years. I think they're primed to be a huge pain in the Donkey to play against.

Their D got better with Jones but the loss of Johansson hasn't been replaced.
You never know, there's always one or two teams that suprise the Dung out of everyone.

I'm quite wary about picking the Sens to make the playoffs, but I just can't bring myself to write in Montreal in that slot.

That's not telling us which one make the playoffs out of each division.

That's not telling us which one make the playoffs out of each division.

Task was to predict season standings. Top 3 in each Division make it in, then it gets a little dicey. I'd say with Eichel's injury it probably means the Atlantic won't be as competitive as expected so more likely that the top 4 make it (out of each Eastern Conference Division). Out West, forget it. Too much work to think about it.

I feel confident in about six of the teams listed. Sens could finish anywhere from 2-8 in the Atlantic division. Counting on Randy Carlyle to screw up the Ducks.

I'm wondering now if Columbus was a waste of a pick.

Diddle I changed it. I hate Montreal and think they suck, but they'll probably make it

Their management are pretty desperate to make the playoffs so I could see them mortgaging their future if things don't go quite to plan in an effort to make it to the post-season.
