Werenski and Aho have also been great. Nice to see a lot of young talent in the NHL.

Matthews FTW though. Because he's a Leaf. And Laine has better teammates.

not trolling at all. Finalists means Top 3. Murray is not ahead of Matthews, Laine, or Werenski

correcting people's posts/opinions isn't trolling

Like about this game, it's not very important. We are a virtual lock for the playoffs regardless of what happens tonight.

It's important. The Sens want home ice advantage and the ability to jockey their position so they can choose their opponent. A win tonight and a win Saturday in Montreal could have us in first or closer to first. Chances are we're playing one of Toronto or Boston in the playoffs. If we finish first in the division we play the Rangers. In all honesty I'm not sure who I'd rather face in the playoffs. We can beat Boston and the Rangers. Toronto is a complete wildcard.

Absolutely. Home Ice advantage would be huge (as well as euge). The Sens don't have a great lineup so line (pairing) matching becomes very important. And Melnyk needs one or two extra gate receipts.

Another reason is that, once we clinch, we can start giving the core players some games off and maybe give a little ice time to deserving prospects.

The fight for first in the division will very probably go down to the last game or two so I don't see anyone getting rested.

There's too many fresh faces who haven't experienced the playoffs and will, IMHO, be swept away in the atmosphere and any opponent the Leafs face will give them a rude awakening.  I know there's an uncomfortable past between the Sens and Leafs but those losses came with two very different teams from management down on through.

Agreed. Matthews, Laine, Werenski, and Marner are all likely to finish ahead of Murray. He's a tremendous rookie, but this is a year of tremendous rookies. He won't finish top 3.

Laine could very easily get it as well. It's going to be interesting.

If they are 6 up on the Leafs and 6 back of the Habs with 3 to go? I think Turris, Methot, Brassard, Pageau, Dzingel will get some time off. Karlsson is chasing Burns. Anderson, Ryan haven't played that much. Stone? Phaneuf? Ceci, for sure, want to see Wideman with Phaneuf for a game or two.

I think if they get the chance to rest Karlsson, they will absolutely do it. I don't think "chasing Burns" is a reason in itself to play him.

The sens would handle the Leafs in the playoffs. We already have 6 more wins than them. It's insane that they have 15 loser points.

There are no shootouts in the playoffs, only overtimes. Leafs are 1-8 in shootouts and 6-7 in overtimes. They would likely be 4-5 in those nine games if we had unlimited overtime. The extra four points would put them one point back of the Sens.

So I'm watching the game and notice Methot is mad at Crosby only to realize it's because he CHOPPED HIS FINGER OFF!!!!

Yeah, that finger looked grrrrrrrross. Hopefully Meth isn't out for too long, but I'm not sure how long it takes for a reattached finger to heal...? Wtf.

I was really surprised the refs "missed" that one.
