Looking forward to watching the Oilers/Ducks game tonight. It's much more enjoyable to watch these super-important games when it's not your team participating.

Fleury is playing really well. Malkin is still a beast (even if only in one direction) and Guentzel looks like he'll set a new franchise rookie playoff scoring record (I think he's one short, no idea who holds the current record). I wouldn't mind at all if they played another couple games and had another couple injuries.
It's gonna take a few more injuries for us to beat Pitt IMO.

Starting with a few injuries to the Rangers.

The poor Oilers. Man. Heartbreaking for them. Another super-questionable non-goalie interference call.

Don't see that as goalie interference at all

I didn't think it was either, but further review shows Kesler grabbing onto Talbot's pad, which is something the refs likely didn't see last night.

It is borderline. The one from the game before with Perry was DEFINITELY goalie interference.

Brutal. Didn't watch anything last night but heard this morning. Dues this finally take the spotlight off the Leafs #ItWas4To1 game? Don't think so, as that was game 7. But this comes awfully close.

They got jobbed two games in a row. But how do you give up 3 goals in the last 3 minutes? Inconceivable! They have to have a lot more urgency to close games out. Just a little harder on the puck, just a little quicker to block or deflect, just a little faster/quicker/better -- just a little.

All that said, Anaheim have to be better themselves. Can't expect to spot a team 3 goals and push back in the last 3 minutes.

That Oilers game was over pretty early. Now if they can find a way to win game 7....

Draisaitl must be the first German national with a playoff hattrick and a 5 point game.

Pretty sure Schubert once scored 8 goals for them and got tossed through a window.

Well I guess we're facing the penguins. Watched the game. Wasn't crazy but still, they seem dangerous.

Schubert never scored a hattrick on the regular season, let alone the playoffs. And he never sched 5 points, either.

Heayley may have, but he was born in Germany but his nationality was Canadian.

Is it wrong for me to want the ducks to win against Edmonton? If there's a small chance we squeak into the finals, I can't help but think a scenario where we face the ducks would write itself. 10 years later, same finals. You can't dream up a better finals.

Apparently it was already decided, but they waited for after the round was over. I think there's a bit of a rush because available coaches are getting plucked up.
