    PGDT #2, Bruins @ Sens, April 15, 3PM

Post by wprager on Sat Apr 15, 2017 7:59 am

Playoff Game Day Thread #2. Close to a must win.  Note the 3PM start time as the game is on NBC.  Full dose of McGuire.

I'm headed into enemy territory,  visiting my mom in Ile Perrot.  If you're recording the game like I am make sure to pad generously.

    Go Sens Go!!!

Expect lineup changes.  Methot could get back in and,  if the Friday practice is any indication Kelly and Dzingel could be in,  replacing Stalberg and Wingels.  Or not. Boucher was very coy about it.

Looking at the stats from game 1:

I thought from watching the game that the Bruins dominated in face offs. Must have been the commentators putting their spin.

Boston held a 2x edge in powerplays, but if you take Pageau's puck over glass automatic it really was 3-2. But the eye test tells me that the second Stone trip was a dive by Moore, and the "trip" given to Borowiecki was anything but a penalty. So, should it really have been 2-2 in powerplays? Maybe. What I find utterly ridiculous is that in the second period when the Sens completely and utterly dominated, both teams received one penalty.

Giveaways. That's the really big disadvantage for the Sens and something they should be able to correct.

I expect a fired up game from Ottawa.  Let's do this!

It's the Final Countdown for the Sens. Will they avert disaster?!...

I'm gonna hazard a guess and say they go 7 D. With Methot and Karlsson banged up, there's too much to chance, especially if Boucher is OK with taking out a forward. Sounds like Dzingel is in and Kelly might be in if Stalberg can't play.

Boston would do well going with 7D themselves. Problem is they may not have 7.

Yeah, it's not a must win but almost. It's doubtful we could walk in the Boston garden and steal two wins after a couple of losses at home.
For the first time I'm actually happy this game is daytime. Tonight I wouldn't have been able to watch. I'm so pumped! GO SENS GO!!! Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!

Krug, Carlo and Miller all out, as well as Krejci. I don't care how many minutes he played in his first ever game, just dump everything in on his side and hit him mercilessly.

I'll check of CBC in Montreal has it on. My mom has the most basic cable so if it's not there, I'm out of luck.

Kelly on for warmups, Wingels not. Looks like Methot will play.

Thats a diminished defence. We really don't have an excuse now.

Obviously if Rask could drop a little that'd be great!

I no longer have a tablet. Turns out she has NBC, though.

I don't like how they are paying. No intensity.
