Of the teams left the players in the top 10 in scoring (I considered, as an example, the 8 players all with 9 points to be all tied for 8th in the top 10 in points) they're all pretty close in terms of how many are from each remaining team.

Anaheim with 5
Edmonton with 4
Nashville with 5
Ottawa with 5
Pittsburgh with 5
Washington with 6

As for Team play?
The Power plays look like this

Washington at 26.3%
Pittsburgh at 22.9%
Edmonton at 22.0%
Nashville at 20.0
Ottawa at 14.6%
Anaheim at 14.3%

The Penalty Kills look like this

Nashville at 87.5%
Ottawa also at 87.5%
Edmonton at 85.4%
Washington at 84.2%
Pittsburgh at 78.8%
Anaheim at 68.3%

Looking at those numbers and how banged up Pittsburgh is I would wager that Pittsburgh is our best possible opponent for making it to the final. After that it would look like Anaheim would be the best option coming out of the west and since they're Powerplay is so woeful the Sens could take many liberties without too much concern. Yes Ottawa's PP is just as pitiful but, their number 1 ranked PK could quickly frustrate the Ducks.

Interesting outlook. But I think there's some intangibles to look at. I think the pens ability to bring it when it counts as well as experience winning in game 7 and winning series might make them the biggest threat. I hate to be the downer but no matter who we face I think we'll lose but I pray they prove me wrong!!!
It's the playoffs and this team is showing they have bonded and delivered when they have to. And who knows what king K can do!

Everybody is counting out the Sens this round. Yes they have some serious fire power, size and speed and yes, in the past Crosby has had his way with the Sens but, this is a different team, with a Captain that looks possessed, Pageau playing out of his mind and the big guns that struggled in the regular season are all stepping up. This team is playing better each round and are playing better than they have all year. Parts of out team worry me but, the Pens are playing without their top 2 D men and have the worst possession numbers of all the playoff teams. That may have been okay against their previous opponents but, you do that against Ottawa and you'll pay for it. Defense we have a clear edge just with Karlsson alone, On offense the Pens have the edge only due to the number of game breakers they can spread through out the lineup. Their D is a serious weak point and with low possession numbers and Ottawa clogging up the neutral zone this is anything but a sure bet for the Pens.

Don't get me wrong, I'll gladly have the Sens wear the underdog, David vs. Goliath label. It's served them well so far winning both series' in six.
