I guess you donít expect Boucher to be back eh?
I hope not, but if he is, I think he will have a very short leash. I think the town halls were all lip service, but I hope the mandate from Dorion about playing youth is taken seriously by Boucher. In three days, I think we can start giving more focused potential line combinations because we should be able to nail down if we are getting Dahlin, a forward at 2/3 or a Dman at 4/5. I expect to be picking 5th.

Yeah thatís been the X on my calendar. Although I donít think Iíll watch it live. Iíll jinx it.
I did 4 simulators today and Ottawa won the last three!!! I quit after that. Iíd seen what I wanted to see.

I heard today that it will start at 7:30 and be part of the pre-game show.
Iím taking this back to the proper thread now though.

Although the award doesnít have a very distinguished list when it comes to producing NHL players, Luchuk was voted overager of the year in the OHL today. Once he got traded to Barrie, I was able to start watching him and I swear he took 75% of Barrieís faceoffs. Hard worker. I really want to see what he can do at Sens camp next year and in Belleville.

Danny Taylor to the KHL. Thatís good. Hopefully it can be Hogberg and Gustavsson in Belleville.

Yes please. I don't even care if one of them (Hogberg) spends time in the ECHL just to get more starts.

Colin White is playing for Team USA at the upcoming World Championships. Quite a whirlwind year he has had.

Seems from heating different comments from management that they seem a bit down on hog

They (KK and Lee) also had White playing third line and their leading scorer Chlapik playing on the 3rd or 4th line more often than not. Danny Taylor and Hammond stealing starts from legit goalie prospects. Belleville was a gong show. Decisions and player deployment there I have so many questions for.

Yeah thatís true. Iím not a big fan of some of the vets they brought in that got bigger minutes.
The way Kurt was talking before the season I thought he had changed but if this year is any indication he hasnít at all.

Pageau with a beauty for Team Canada. Iíve got a soft spot for him. Perfect 3C in my opinion.

Boucher and his staff will return next year. Raymond will no longer be behind the bench (video coach?). Boucher will run the power play.

In Belleville, coach KK will not be returning.

Still trying to digest what all of this means. Beyond saving Melnyk some money.

On addition to working for a crazy owner, Boucher now works for a boss who openly criticized (and one could say ridiculed) his decisions and tactics ('If I hear 'rest is a weapon' one more time I'll go crazy").

How's that going to work? Is Kleinendorst somehow getting made into a scapegoat? I'm not disagreeing with the decision, just questioning it in light of the other non-decision.

And is Raymond (who ran the PP I think) being pushed out slowly for some reason? Or did players complain about having 3 coaches behind the bench?

Troy Mann (Hershey) appears to be front runner to replace KK. He is the brother of head scout Trent Mann.

I like the idea that they are not saying it was all the coach's fault. The players have largely escaped with no consequences for a very long time (back when they *were* spending to the cap more than lately). And I am not shocked Boucher is back because that's what all the media have been saying (to the point that I now think this was Dorion testing the waters). But I am surprised the entire coaching team survived.

I get it that firing the assistants doesn't solve anything, but in this case we had two *associate* coaches. I thought the reason for having the two was exactly this situation - fire the coach but keep some continuity.

    Oh well, guess we'll see.
