When you said "on Vinyl" did you mean you bought the LPs or is this some new app/service? The capital 'V' threw me. If you *did* mean just good old "vinyl" then what are you using as your record player? Good ones are terribly expensive nowadays. And, frankly, there's nothing wrong with MP3s unless you have super ears.

Reminds of of the '80s and the back rooms at the audio stores where they had the so-called class-A amps (generally one-quarter the buttons and dials of the stuff in the front of the store, and a t three to four times the price). I asked the guy what was the difference between this $400 CD player and that $800 on in the back room. He said the biggest difference was that it had 2 DA (digital to analog) converter chips, one for each channel. A single DA chip was fast enough to convert both left and right channels by switching back and forth, but this created a slight delay between them. He said it was roughly equivalent to sitting about 12 feet away from your main speakers, and then moving one of them an inch towards you. I had a buddy who is an audiophile to whom that actually made a difference.

So I have my Dire Straits and Beatles and Pink Floyd CDs ripped to MP3 files, and they sound fine. The only LPs I miss are the ones I never got on CD.

Oh, man, this is a blast from the past. I remember this one from the late '70s at a summer camp. The Rodeo Song. Even if you don't like country, you'll find a use for this song Smile

I should have asked this before, but is anyone going to bluesfest? As usual, I'm there every day that it's open.

    Are you a believer?

A while back (must've been the early '80s) I saw this time-traveling movie with one of the Monkees in it. It actually wasn't half bad (although I see it's not rated very high on IMDB -- but what do they know). Time Rider - the Adventure of Lyle Swann. Not the best movie title, have to admit. Michael Nesmith co-wrote it and also had a small part in it I think. And I see it's now available on bluray Smile http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086443/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_6

Is this AKA "Time Rider?" with a cool looking motorcycle and title graphics on the cover? I never got around to watching that. It must be good if IMDB says it isn't.

Their most acclaimed movies star Frank "I Cheetah All the Time" D'Angelo. No foolin'.

The Frank D'Angelo line of movies funded, produced, and starring himself are quite the marvels. I have no idea how that buffoon still has any money.

I don't get it either. He seems to have enough to fund his narcissistic endeavours. He reminds me of another sociopath, Richard Condo. This guy manages to seduce Lawyers and Doctors and proceed to milk them dry and beat the Dung out of them. He also produced a couple of movies, starring himself...

Wow, Dark Side of the Moon is only #43. Travesty.

Ridiculous, that list means nothing with Dark Side at 43. Totally ignorable.

Myeah I have it on vinyl and I wouldn't put it in my top 20. It's a good album but there are a few that I prefer.

I used to actually like Pink Floyd until CHEZ 106 ruined it with their constant playing of their stuff. I actually liked them a lot now I can barely stand them. It's actually pretty incredible what CHEZ 106 has done come to think of it.

That's why there's a dial on your radio. You just change it if you're hearing a song too much.

He's a complete ***hole, but he, Gilmour et. al have made some killer albums. Their string of Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall are near perfection.

Why do you listen to radio? I have to say...I can't stand not being in control of what I listen to.

I listen to satellite radio. I myself don't like picking songs because I never know what I want to listen to.

I'm using spotify's free service. I don't think I'll even bother storing music on my phone anymore. It's so good.
